Barbara lived life on her own terms and it was full of adventure, creativity and love. Her vivacious spirit and fierce devotion to her family and friends made her a force to be reckoned with and truly one of a kind.
On Tuesday, October 6, 2020, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer, Barbara, the heart of her family, passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones. She is now reunited with her late husband, Fergus; with whom she spent 28 joyous years in marriage.
Barbara is survived by her adoring children, Tom and his wife, Dee and Joann and her husband, Wally. The lights in Barbara’s life were her grandchildren; Stephanie, Caitlin, Brendan, Michael, and Kirsten. Barbara leaves behind her younger siblings, Christine, Clare, Nancy, Billy, and Mary.
It is with pride that we will all carry the memory of Barbara in our hearts and souls. A visitation for Barbara will be held at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m, with burial services to immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers Barbara’s family ask that a contribution be made to the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in Barbara’s honor and name.
The family of Barbara would like to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. M. Monticelli, Abode Hospice & Home Health, and anyone who helped Barbara through this journey in the final chapter of her life.
