Oh Daddy. It is unbelievable that 3 years have gone by without you being just a phone call or short drive away. I still talk to you daily and I miss you so very much.  I'm forever grateful for having you in my life and for the lifetime of wonderful memories you gave to me. They keep you alive in my heart and soul. Until we meet again~ I love you always. ❤

I met Art through racing and we shared many adventures over the years. He was constantly urging me to attend the iconic Pikes Peak Hill Climb that had been a big part of his life, seemingly forever. 

I finally attended last year (2022) with a group of fellow friends from racing - most of them also Art's friends as well. It was a totally amazing event! Art, you were absolutely right! Wish we had done it together but I really felt like he was there  with all of us - laughing and enjoying every minute!

Can't believe it has been two years my friend. You are missed.

With a heavy heart I say so long to a childhood friend.  Art was “Skeeter” to me and that’s how I will remember him! He was fun loving and a great friend growing up. He lived his life with passion.  Art’s professionalism and talent shined in whatever he pursued, he didn’t go halfway! Rest In Peace old friend.

I have so many great memories that it's hard to pick just one... My Papa was the best! He always knew how to make a kid feel, well, not like a kid. Growing up, he would always be the first "grown up" to play with us and would have just as much fun as we were. From surprising me with a day riding around in a pace car, to letting me help take down Christmas lights in a bucket truck at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo... My time with him was always an adventure!

His loss will forever leave a void in my life, but I'm grateful for the time I had with him.

Your "Pup"

On April 25th, 1981, God blessed me with the most amazing father! Many already know, and many may not, but Art was not my biological father. However, I knew from the day we met (I was only 8 at the time) that he was my Daddy and best friend for life.  I could not have hand picked a better father and he has been the best role model.  I have been blessed with a lifetime of wonderful memories with my Dad and I will treasure every bit of kindness, love, and  wisdom he has shared with me along the way. Blood has no bearing on the bond we had and I will love and miss him for the rest of my days. God Bless you Daddy. You are always with me. ♥

I did not have much opportunity to get to know Art, but his partner in crime, Jill, was my maid of honor so we go back over 40 years. I remember fondly when Art and Jill came to Topeka for a visit and we shared some special time together, one of which was climbing to the top of the capital building.  Art was patient with us girls while he soaked up the history of the capital and city and took lots of pictures. I got to know a soft spoken, kind and gentle man. I have no doubt that Art was respected and loved by many and will be greatly missed. You raced to the top and are flying above the clouds now.

Although I never personally met Art,  his beautiful daughter Tracy and grandkids Zach and Baylee are very special to me.  I can only imagine what a kind and amazing man he was based on his amazing daughter and the love, kindness and grace she bestowed to the world around her.

I met Art at the Detroit Grand Prix in 1995 when I volunteered for my first Indy Lights race.  Art coached me through the seasons on technical and pit lane procedures along with our friends Jimmy Bruin and Colin Burgess.  Art often worked at pit in which was the most dangerous place for a pit official.  I will remember his calm demeanor, knowledge, sense of humor and fairness.  My favorite story of Art is when he began calling me Mr Smith after I told a joke that Karasinski was just Smith in Polish.  It became funny because he remembered it even years later.  I remember another story.  At California Speedway we ran with the Craftsman Truck Series.  During their race we were watching along the pit wall.  Art caught a lug nut in his bare hand that had been flying toward his head.  Art was a class act and our world isn’t the same without him.

I met Art in 1998 through racing and we worked together on similar projects many times over the years. We also shared a friendship that allowed for a lot of fun, adventure and lots of stories! He was an honorable, sincere, straightforward man who valued friendship and was the living definition of loyalty. 

Art was a man of many talents and shared his knowledge with anyone who asked - and some who didn't! But his sense of humor and his smile was always there and everyone knew that he cared.

He was a very good friend and he will be greatly missed. 

RIP Art.

I first met Art in 2003 as a result of our mutual involvement in car racing.  Over the following years we shared many adventures and road trips.  Art was a true gentleman and his word was his bond.  I feel very privileged to have been his friend for 18 years.  He will be sorely missed.  

My condolences to his family and everyone whose lives he touched.
