Aaron was born in Norfolk, Virginia on December 12th, 1960 to Jesse William Caywood and Christine Buckner. The oldest of three children, he was raised in Cañon City, Colorado. He graduated from Cañon City High School, class of 1979.
After graduating high school, Aaron moved to California to pursue his dream of becoming a musician. He received his music degree from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. Aaron spent most of his time after graduation playing bass guitar with his bands at various shows. While playing at a show in Moscow, Idaho, his life forever changed when he met Christine Lynn Anderson.
Aaron was married to Christine on December 28th, 1985. They eventually settled in Fremont, California. While in Fremont, they were blessed with the birth of two children, Brandon and Sarah. During this time, Aaron returned to school, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University, Hayward.
In 1998, Aaron and family relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Aaron worked as a Controller for Classic Homes. He was with Classic Homes for twenty years. Aaron again returned to school in Colorado, receiving a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
Aaron was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Aaron had many passions and interests during his life. Aaron loved playing his guitar and perfecting various Beatles’ songs. He was fascinated with history, often learning about past events and historical figures. He loved the outdoors, particularly camping, hiking, and skiing with his beloved wife. Above all things, Aaron cherished his time with his family. He is a devoted father and “Papa.”
Aaron is survived by his loving wife Christine Caywood, their children, Brandon Caywood (Mary) and Sarah Crow (Braden), their grandchildren, Natalie and Hannah Caywood, and Weston Crow, and brothers Jared Caywood (Darlene) and Ronald Caywood (Mariane). He is also survived by a number of extended family members and in-laws.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Christine.
A visitation will be held, Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., all at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 5485 Hopalong Trail, Colorado Springs, CO 80923.
Aaron will be laid to rest at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910 on Monday, April 15th, 2019, at 11 a.m.
