A Mass of Christian Burial for Tomas will be held on Saturday, November 9th at 10 am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Colorado City with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating with a burial to follow in the Loraine Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Levi Mayfield, Mario Lopez, Dillon Randolph, Damian De Loera, Paike De Loera, and Aden Hernandez, with Adon Madrid, Adam Madrid, David Madrid, C.J. Madrid, and Billy McPeters serving as Honorary Pallbearers.
The family will be present for a visitation in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 8th from 5-7 pm with a Rosary to follow at 7pm.
Tomas was born in Nolan, Texas to Margarito and Juanita Sanchez De Loera on September 18, 1940. He started his working life at the Mobile Gas Station in Colorado City before starting his life-long career at the Texas Electric Power Plant where he worked for over 25 years until his retirement.
Tomas is survived by his sons; Tommy De Loera of Snyder, Rey De Loera and wife Linda of Boerne, and Manuel De Loera of Colorado City, a son-in-law Craig Randolph of Snyder, and by daughters Janie Kiser and husband Steve in Nevada, Texas and Mary Anne Davila and husband Marty of Colorado City He is also survived by his grandchildren; Amy Madera, Ruben De Loera, Katlyn De Loera, Paike De Loera, Mario Lopez, Claudia De Loera, Monica Villareal, Levi Mayfield, Dillon Randolph, Sheila Laye, Angela Garza, Kendra Tutt, Lance Kiser, Deserae De Loera, Damian De Loera, and Nadia Davila, as well as by 19 great grandchildren 1 great-great grandchild, and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children Virginia De Loera, a son Adon De Loera, a daughter Lisa Randolph, and daughter-in-law Elizabeth De Loera, and by 15 siblings.
