She was preceded in death by her husband Billy (Red) Carter, parents Tommy G. and Ollie Davenport, sisters Francis & Betty, brothers Sonny and Tommy.
Ruby is survived by: Sons Mark Carter and fiancée Kay, Gene and Stefani Carter, grandchildren Alisha Tadena and husband Jayson, Dane Carter and wife Jamie. Great grandchildren Elizabeth Tadena, Riley, Reese, and Jaxon Carter.
Ruby was born in Colorado City, Texas and married Billy (Red) Carter on February 5, 1960. Ruby worked for Dr. Kenneth Cowan for 25 years and was a member of the 22nd and Austin Street Church of Christ. Ruby lived most of her life in Mitchell County. Ruby enjoyed working outside, especially mowing her yard. She loved attending church services and functions and loved her family very much.
Graveside services will be held at the Westbrook Cemetery at 10:30 on Monday, November 27, 2023.
A visitation will be held in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, November 26, 2023 from 4-6 pm.
