He was born in Colorado City on November 3, 1969 to Raymond and Esther Davila Flores.
Marcus was a hardworking man who loved God, his family and his community. He held many professions in his lifetime, including a mechanic, construction specialist, and production operator for gas wells. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a devoted brother, father, friend, and son. In his spare time he enjoyed coaching softball, hunting, cooking, especially barbecuing and the occasional fish fry. He also enjoyed dancing, riding horses, four wheelers, and motorcycles, and just being outdoors in general. The years of love and wisdom shared with family will remain with them always.
Marcus is survived by his children Felicia De La Garza and husband Robert of San Antonio, Marcus A Flores and wife Macey of Colorado City, Marissa Flores of Snyder, Raymond Marcus Flores of Seguin, and Troy Alexander Flores of Seguin, and by grandchildren Amelia, Isla, Ellie, Nina, Catherine, and Thomas. He is also survived by his mother Esther Flores of Colorado City, by brothers Jessie Flores and wife Lisa of Colorado City, Gilbert Flores and wife Lucy of Colorado City, and Edward Flores of Colorado City, and by sisters Sylvia Mason and husband Rick of Dunn and Sarah Nelson and husband Roland of Colorado City, as well as by a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Marcus will be held on Tuesday, January 3rd at 10 am in Saint Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating, Interment will follow in the Mitchell County Cemetery. Pall Bearers will be Marcus A. Flores, Robert De La Garza, Jessie Flores, Edward Flores, Gilbert Flores, Roland Nelson, Stephen Flores, and Jason A. Free.
He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Flores
The family will be present for a visitation in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 2nd from 5-7 pm with a rosary to follow at 7.
