Born December 16th, 1942 to Norman and Florine McMahan in Colorado City Texas.
Linda passed away peacefully on May 16th, 2022 at Mitchell County Hospital after a short stay.
She grew up in Westbrook and attended School there until she graduated in 1960. Soon after graduating she married long time sweetheart Glenn Wallace and moved to Coahoma and then to Big Spring. She had three children with Glenn: the first in 1961 James Wallace, the second in 1964 Lee Wallace, and finally in 1973 her darling daughter Glenda Wallace Fuentes.
She remained in the area she grew up in, never moving further away than Big Spring. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Westbrook. She was active in the church until her health prevented her from doing what she loved which was playing organ or piano or whatever was needed to help. She was truly a giving soul and proved it with the love she had for her family and friends. To those who knew her they saw a perfect example of sacrifice and love. The countless hours spent in hospitals and doctor offices so her daughter Glenda could have the best health care possible, never complaining about the time or effort it took. To know her was a blessing in so many ways that words could not possibly express our love for her. Heaven was blessed with her arrival while the world we live in lost a truly wonderful giving and kind mother. She will be missed but never forgotten.
She is survived by sons James Wallace of Westbrook, Lee Wallace and his wife Cathy of Dallas, brother Elmer McMahan and his wife Fairy of Seminole, son(in law) Ramiro Fuentes of Westbrook, granddaughter Michelle Hollaway and her husband Rich of Salt Lake City, grandson Chris Wallace of Omaha, three nieces Chelcie Guerra and Beajae McMahan both of Dallas, Sara McMahan of Garden City, nephew Terry McMahan of Seattle, three great grandchildren Brooklyn Grace Goudge, Caeli Marie Goudge, and Kayden Scott Holloway, great nieces and nephews Anelyse, Cameron, Colby, Erin, Dustin, and Alex.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father Norman and Florine McMahan, her daughter Glenda Fuentes, spouse Glenn Wallace.
We would like to say thank you to the staff at the hospital for their kindness and support through this difficult time. The nursing staff was more than kind and the citizens of the city should be thankful to have them as part of the community. God Bless
