Juan Rivera Jr.

Colorado City- Juan Rivera, Jr., age 75, passed from this life on September 2, 2010 in Abilene, Texas. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating and burial to follow in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Juan was born on June 21, 1935 to Juan and Jesusita Heredia Rivera in Colorado City. He was a lifelong resident of Colorado City and a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.

He leaves behind his wife, Perfecta Rivera of Colorado City, TX, daughters, Beatrice Madrid and husband, Adon of Loraine and Irene Diaz and husband, Manuel of Austin, TX; sons, Eddie Rivera and wife, Sylvia of Weatherford, TX, Armando Rivera and wife, Sally of Austin, TX, Albert Rivera and wife, Sandy of Round Rock, TX and Ray Rivera of Colorado City; 23 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren

Juan is preceded in death by his parents, sons, John Rivera, III., Daniel Rivera; brothers, Sabino Rivera, Manuel Rivera, and Steve Rivera; sister, Simona Flores and Maria Petra Carrasco.
