He was born on October 10, 1929 in Sweetwater, Texas to Minnie and Roy Birmingham.
Jimmy was a man who loved family and took pride in helping others when he could, especially the elderly, often helping them to take out their trash. He also gave to his country as a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He loved to garden and grew some of the most beautiful roses around. He also enjoyed fishing and listening to Hank Williams music. Many people may remember seeing him at the Dairy Queen where he would have coffee with friends and catch up on the latest news.
Jimmy is survived by his daughters Lynda Turnbull of Odessa and Vicki Hubbard of Graham, by a step son Mark Muller of New Mexico and a step daughter Pat Muller of Round Rock. He is also survived by his granddaughters Selisa Harkey, Glenys Longwell and Leslie Landrum, his grandsons Dwayne Irby and James Irby as well as by 7 great grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years Lila Birmingham, by his parents Minnie and Roy Birmingham, by a brother John Birmingham, and by a step-son Joey Muller.
The family will be present for a visitation at Kiker Seale Funeral Home on Monday, November 26th from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
