Paul was a long-time resident of Marlton, New Jersey. He was born on June 22, 1958, in Philadelphia, to parents, John (Jack) and Roberta (Bobbie) Cobb. He graduated from Father Judge High School in 1976. Paul joined the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, where he earned his License Practical Nurse before his honorable discharge. He worked in nursing and later returned to college to earn his Registered Nurse Associate's Degree. Paul worked as a home care nurse for some years and later transitioned to the operating room, where he found his true professional passion. He was well respected and made many lasting friendships throughout his nursing career, most recently at Virtua Marlton.
In his youth, Paul participated in many sports, excelling in basketball. He would later blame his height and ankles for his missed opportunity to become a pro. He also enjoyed playing tennis and golf and was an avid spectator of all sports. Summer days were spent at the pool, preferably overlooking the beach, with book in hand. Evenings included billiards or poker games, with classic rock blaring in the background. Paul would take any opportunity to hop on a boat with his fishing poles. With all these activities friends and family were always around and welcomed.
Paul was well-liked and could get on easily with people from all walks. He had an incredible and quick sense of humor. He was proud of the fact that there was only one Paul Cobb and no one came close to his uniqueness. Paul came from a large family with five siblings. He loved his brothers and sisters and cherished the times they shared. Above all Paul cherished his children, they were his world and he was so incredibly proud of them all.
Paul was preceded in death by his father and mother, Jack and Bobbie Cobb, sister Denise Robinson, and son Matthew Cobb.
Paul is survived by his former wife, Kathryn Baker, and their daughters Nicole Cobb, Sharon Allen, and Danielle Cobb; his grandsons Luca and Jade; his sister Cathleen Greeney; his brothers John Cobb, James Cobb, and Mark Cobb; his nephews Jeffrey Clarke, Timothy Fantini, Ralph Fantini, Alex Fantini, and John Tomassetti; his nieces Devyn Cobb, Juliana Cobb, and Mackenzie Cobb; and many cousins, as well as, extended family and close friends.
