Maryann was born on January 6, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Joseph F. Koenig, Sr. and Claire S. Koenig and was the middle child.
As a child, Maryann was outgoing and loved life, telling stories about going to the Jersey Shore, school dances, and riding horses at what was then the Campbell Soup estate on Riverton Road in Cinnaminson, where she lived for a few years before the family moved back to Philadelphia.
Upon graduation from Frankford High School, Maryann went to what was then Pierce Business School for secretarial studies. Shortly afterwards she obtained a job working as an executive secretary for the Commanding General in the U.S. Army Signal Corps Supply Agency in Philadelphia, a job she held for 14 years until she left to have her first child in 1965.
In 1962, Maryann went on a blind date with Roy Wilson from Greenwood, South Carolina. Nine months later Roy proposed and Maryann accepted. They were married at St. Joan of Arc Church in Philadelphia on September 14, 1963.
Shortly after they were married, they moved to the Rolling Greens section of Cinnaminson, New Jersey where they raised four children: Julie, Andy, Amy, and Michael. She was a devoted wife and mother to her husband and four children. In 1989 the family moved to Douglasville, Georgia, where she stayed until 2021 when she moved to Cumming, Georgia.
Her favorite things included spending time with family and her sorority sisters, shopping, going to the Jersey shore, and attending Mass regularly. She was extremely proud of all her children up to the end of her life.
Maryann was predeceased by her parents and her loving husband, Roy Wilson. She is survived by her daughter Julie Wilson (Michael Hauger), Andy Wilson (Andrea Zurek), Amy Dobbs (Kevin), and Michael Wilson (Laura); her sister, Claire Gebhardt; granddaughter Addison Wilson and step-grandson Michael Hauger, Jr.; and multiple in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
