Belated condolences to all Dennis' family.

I am sorry I missed your father's passing having been grieving another loss.

My dad, Dennis' youngest uncle, was also called Dennis and I think Jack named his son after his brother. I never knew it was Dennis James but had a daughter this year and her middle name is James too so a wee link back there.

I remember him coming to visit us in Lochgoilhead and also Glasgow and will look out some photos for the his descendents. It was always exciting to have exotic visitors 😁 

Sadly I never met Jack but you could tell how much my dad looked up to him, his oldest brother who went off to the States. I bet he'd have been so proud of his son taking care of his sisters, his mum & raising a lovely family of his own.

I wish we had more get togethers and less genetics (Lynch) in common. All three men deserved many more years to enjoy the fruits of their labours x

Memories of Dennis span childhood holidays spent with the family in Glasgow through to late teens and twenties when Dennis would suddenly appear in Leeds and Preston with a couple of pals in tow  – nothing better to do and deciding to take a trip down to visit us.   We were always happy to see him!
  
Moving on when Dennis was working as the Assistant Manager in The Trafalgar pub on the King’s Road in Chelsea. Transiting London on my way back from Leeds to Jersey I would stop off and visit him. These visits would begin quite civilized with visits to the museums and art galleries (my instigation) but inevitably ended up not so civilized - I remember us getting stuck in a cocktail bar and visits to the “in” nightclubs of the time (Dennis’ instigation!)  He always managed to fit in his shift at the Trafalgar (where he was really well thought of) and I always managed to miss my flight ending up having to stay on in London another day!  
  
The paths life takes us on and putting distance in the way ends up in separation but Dennis was a much loved cousin who is remembered with great fondness, fun and laughter.

Love to Patti and the boys - know you would always be welcome if visiting this part of the world. 


My big brother Dennis definitely lived up to a perfect role model of what a loving, caring brother should be like.    
When I arrived back in USA in 1987, he had kept on his furnished apartment in Barrington, New Jersey so as I would have a place to stay about 5 min drive from where himself & Patti where living.  
He even paid 1/2 of my rent till I got on my feet with a job.  As well as gave me his old Buick Skylark car.  Super nice guy for sure 🥰
He even took me out on a driving lesson ONCE  as that was enough for him !  Lol!  
He took me around N.J. introducing me to all his friends.   Introducing me to Philadelphia, Atlantic city & NY city.     
 I spent many a night & holiday hanging out with him & his family, friends & my cousin John & family , until I moved to San Diego in 1991.   
I have many fond memories & lots of laughter  throughout our adult  lives, as well as our childhood, living in Scotland.  Many family adventures!   
He was an amazing guy .  A true Scot, so brave, a fighter, so strong, so caring & kind.   
 I feel very blessed & very grateful that he was my big brother & in my life for 60 years. 
 I just wish it could have been more.

Our Dad would take us out fishing in a little rowing boat. One time they were out fishing and caught a Conger Eel, which was about the same size as Dennis!

We seem to have acquired our Mum and Dad's sense of adventure, and it wasn't too long, as young adults, we too took our first steps out into the wider world to find our own adventures. Dennis settled in New Jersey, with Patti and their family; Marion in San Diego; me and my family in Jersey, Channel Islands and our Mum stayed in Scotland. Although we lived quite far apart we were very close to each other and very lucky that we managed to get together often over the years, in each of these locations, and when we did, we had such wonderful fun together, very special times. 

So many great times, lots of love and laughter, cherished memories forever.

So sorry to learn of Dennis' passing.  We had many good times together at Merchantville CC and he was my golf partner for years in the Ann Ferren Golf Classic.  My deepest condolences to his wife Patti and their children.  Will make a contribution in Dennis' name.

My cousin Dennis became my best friend from the time he arrived back in the US from London over 30 years ago. I can remember him saying that he was going to stay with us for a couple of weeks (ended up being a year), then be off to NY to live. During that time fate intervened. He met Patti, the love of his life,  and the rest is history.
 
He was the kindest, strongest, person  I have had the pleasure to call my cousin and friend. We share so many memories. From family Christmas parties and summer BBQs, to constructing a retaining wall and a potting shed, and many more that I will cherish forever.

Dennis will always have a special place in our hearts. Thanks for the memories Jimmie. Godspeed. ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿☘️

Way to many memories to pick from. He was one in a million! He was one of my dearest friends. He played the meanest bucket ever! He always made me laugh. Dennis and Patti were always there for me through good and hard times. I watched his kids grow up and he watched mine grow up.We were all part of each other’s lives for many years. He was one of the strongest men I ever met.👑Rest in peace your majesty 👑
