Patricia (Patty) Dugger, wife of Steve Dugger for 16 incredible years, mother of extremely beloved sons Bryan Ngyuen and Anthony Ngyuen, passed into Heaven on April 5th at 3:30 PM. After marrying her husband Steve, Patty became the mother of Ashleigh Long, Kari Dugger, Jason Dugger, Jermey Dugger, and also became the grandmother of Hannah Dugger, Andi Dugger, Dani Dugger, Ellie Dugger, Caleb Long, Ethan Long, Graham Spillman, and Amelie Spillman.
Patty enjoyed a stellar career, retiring from Fed Ex after 35 years' service, apx. 8 and a half years ago at the age of 55 years old. Patty worked alongside MBA's, PHD's, and many other brilliant colleagues at Fed Ex Headquarters. Patty loved life, loved God, loved family, loved friends, loved people, and did it well. With her effervescent outgoing nature, she never met a stranger. She always greeted you with a hug, because as we who love her all know, "Dugger's are huggers!"
Patty and her husband Steve had a very special relationship, as Steve clearly adored her, and she clearly admired him. Couple that with both of their love for Jesus, it was evident to all how magical they modeled a marriage envied by most. Patty especially adored her children and all her family. Her love language was "quality time." She loved to sit and talk and discuss life with those she loved. She loved to travel, she loved music, she loved to dance, and she loved everyone, even complete strangers, who she again "never met a stranger," because she loved her neighbor, (everyone God puts in front of you). That love for God and everyone she encountered caused her to hear these words from our Lord as she entered Heaven, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
Patty wanted to thank each and every single one of you who prayed for her and her family for being the hands and feet of Jesus. We all learned so much from her. Her energy and love for life was infectious. She had an incredibly beautiful heart, and that is what caused her to love you all so much. We will miss her, and yes, she is in our hearts forever. She wanted you all to know for sure that she has not passed away at all; she has merely passed into eternal bliss in Heaven with her Heavenly Father, her Lord and Savior, along with many loved ones who preceded her. It is her heart's desire to spend eternity with all of you who loved her. She will be seriously missed by us all, and she will remain in our hearts always and forever.
Funeral arrangements are as follows:
Visitation for all who loved and cared for Patty is April 14th at 11 AM, funeral service is at 12, followed by catering at 12:45 at One City Church at Redeemer Evangelical Church, 3100 S. Houston Levee Rd. Germantown, TN 38139, apx. 1 mile north of Poplar on the right. Graveside service is at 2 PM at West TN Veterans Cemetery on Forest Hill Irene. Because of her husband Steve's honorable discharge from The US Air Force, Patty will be buried underneath him in Veterans Cemetery, and they will ultimately be together for all eternity, and will be bodily raised at the resurrection together because of their trust in Jesus.
