Catherine "Katie" Franklin Bell, age 93, of Somerville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022. Katie was born November 23, 1928 in Pontotoc, MS. to the late Jesse Dowell Franklin and Minnie Ann Duncan Franklin.
She worked as a secretary, was a member of Faith Baptist Church, longtime member of Briarwood Saddle Club in Memphis and was an avid bowler.
Katie is survived by a daughter; Leigh Taylor (Rob), sons; Larry Bell, Garry Bell (Regina), eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister; Betty Blanchard and her loving husband; William Edward "Bill" Bell who died August 21, 1990.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 4, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Collierville Funeral Home, 534 West Poplar, Collierville, TN 38017 as well as 9:00 AM, Saturday morning. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Collierville Funeral Home.
