James A. (Jim) Johnston, 93, of Collierville, TN entered eternal life with his Lord on Oct. 20, 2018. Born in Saint George, New Brunswick, Canada, he served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in England during WWII. Afterwards, he earned a Civil Engineering degree from The University of New Brunswick.
Jim is survived by his wife, Lois Vann Johnston, children: Derek, Terry, and Bettye Sue Johnston; Kelly Riley (Rusty), Julie Moss (Neil). Grandchildren: Jillian and Amber Johnston - Rileys; Abigail, Amelia, Adeline, Annabelle, Pitt, & Finn; Mosses - Luke, Vann, & Carrie. Great-granddaughter, Wilhelmina Johnston.
His construction career began with J.A.Jones Construction and continued when he and Frank Inman formed Management Construction Inc. Being a Boy Scout leader, Troop 248, led to forming an all men group White River Rogues.
His goal in life, one he achieved, was to care for his family. The family expresses gratitude to the staff at The Arbors of Schilling Gardens for their care.
