Douglas Clyde Wells, 67, passed away February 18, 2023. Mr. Wells was the former owner of Wells Building Supply in Collierville. He enjoyed hunting and was a motorcycle enthusiast. He loved to cook, especially southern-style vegetables, and also enjoyed spending time with his family and especially attending his grandchildren’s ball games and dance recitals. Everyone that knew him loved him. He was one of the most loving, giving, caring people. He will be dearly missed by us all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Mary Wells and his first wife, Diane Wells.
He is survived by his wife, Tara Wells; daughters, Kelli Copeland (Chris) and Kim Whidden (John); grandchildren, Isla Whidden and Knox Whidden and a sister, Susie Wells Royer.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at Collierville Funeral Home, 534 W Poplar Avenue, Collierville, TN 38017. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday February 25, 2023 at Collierville Funeral Home.
