Dortha “Dot” Leach Dixon, 88, went to be with her Lord on May 5, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born April 20, 1925, Dot was a retired school teacher and homemaker from Dutch Mills, AR where she met the love of her life, Glen Jackson “Jack” Dixon. They celebrated over 36 years of marriage before he preceded her in death. She is survived by three children, Glen Dixon (Jan), Ean Colley (Scott), and Hugh Dixon (Kelly). She was loved by grandchildren, Chris Dixon (Kristen), Matt and Madison Colley, and Alex and Jake Driver and one great-grandchild, Ethne Dixon. She is also survived by a brother, Jerry Leach (Rosalie) in Lincoln, AR. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Raymond and Ruth Leach, and sister and brother-in-law, Banita and Homer Sparks. Dot was a member of Faith Baptist Church and a previous member of Germantown Baptist Church. Some of her favorite memories were at her lake house on Lake Mitchell in Clanton, AL. She will also be missed by many friends that she enjoyed entertaining at her home and sharing loaves of homemade sour dough bread. The family will receive guests and friends on Wednesday, May 8, beginning at 4 p.m. with funeral services following at 6 p.m., all at Collierville Funeral Home located at 534 W.
