Tony was born in Memphis, at John Gaston Hospital on January 7th, 1953. He passed away on July 6th, 2022 at the age of 69, at Collierville Baptist Hospital.
He met his wife LaKeta Stilwell at IRS where they both worked til they retired together after 39 years of service. They are blessed to have one son, Gregory, age 34, of Collierville.
Tony is preceded in death by his Mother, Dorothy Williams, his father, Hildred Ford, his sister, Marland Sorrell, all of Memphis and two brothers, James Carter of St. Louis, Mo and Butch Ford of Memphis.
He leaves behind his wife and son and a brother, Larry Wilson of Memphis, He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
Tony graduated from the Tennessee Preparatory School in Nashville. Shortly after graduation he enlisted in the US AirForce, He was stationed in Greenland. He said it was COLD but he loved it.
He left the AirForce after 4 years at the rank of Sgt. E-4
Visitation will be at Collierville Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 20th. Family visitation will begin at 10am, Public viewing will start at 11 am. His remains will be interred at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with a Committal Service with Honors at 1:00 pm in the Rotunda.
