She was born June 26, 1931 in Evansville, IN to the late Orlin and Marguerite Lockridge.
Yvonne received a BS Degree from Evansville College and went on to receive her Registered Nurse Degree from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing. Yvonne married her college sweetheart, Wayne Hoover in 1953. She and Wayne were just shy of celebrating 62 years of marriage when he passed in 2015. Yvonne was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Grapevine. A devoted wife and loving mother that will remain in the hearts of family and many friends.
She is survived by her son, Michael Hoover; daughters, Vickie Griffin and husband Dowell, Sharon Gallegos and husband Robert and Diane Bunting and husband Frank; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Jacqueline McDonald and Cindy Bippus and husband Ray; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034, with burial to follow in Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, February 12, 2021 at the funeral home.
