Wayne Bernard Menth, age 74, of North Richland Hills Texas, passed away February 2, 2023 at 4:33am into the arms of Jesus. Wayne was born in Chicago Illinois at Norwegian American Hospital to Bernard and Elaine Menth. He grew up in Bellwood Illinois and went to school at Jefferson School, Sunnyside Junior High and graduated from Proviso West High School in Hillside Illinois. He then went on to get his Bachelor’s degree at Roosevelt University in Chicago Illinois and his Master’s degree at Illinois Benedictine College in Lisle Illinois.
Wayne married the love of his life, Jeanine Jarems on November 21,1970 and they were married for 52 wonderful years. Wayne started his career at Reynold’s Aluminum Company and worked for them 10 years. He then became an employee at Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago Illinois and served as a Category Manager within Strategic Sourcing. He retired from Abbott nine years ago.
He recently joined North Tarrant County Corvette Club after buying himself a new red corvette. The little trips and owning a corvette again made both Wayne and Jeanine feel young again. Wayne loved playing racquetball and was in a league twice a week. But what Wayne loved most of all was the LORD, His word, and serving as a BSF leader in Bible Study Fellowship for over 30 years. Wayne was passionate to tell people about his LORD and Savior, to pray and help people during difficult times in their lives.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Jeanine, of North Richland Hills; and siblings Jan and Mike Genarella of South Carolina, and Debbie and Jessie Lopez of Illinois along with many nieces and nephews. Children: Michelle Price of Fort Worth TX; Wayne Jr. and Heather Menth of North Richland Hills TX; Joey and Faye Menth of Justin TX; Lisa and Josh Wooten of Fort Worth TX; and John and Lauren Menth of Frisco TX.
