He was born January 28, 1952 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Katherine Lee Solomon and W.A. Solomon (Sol). Tom grew up in Stamps, Arkansas and Forrest City, Arkansas where he enjoyed duck and deer hunting, football and baseball. He played wide receiver for the University of Central Arkansas football team in Conway. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, he worked for school districts in Arkansas, and later in Texas, teaching chemistry and coaching golf and track. In retirement, he enjoyed playing golf, hunting and spending time with his family.
He will always be remembered for his quick laugh and devotion to God and his family. On any given day, you could find him on the golf course, playing a round of golf with his close friends and discussing politics. He always enjoyed his autumn trips to hunt deer in Arkansas and loved all things outdoors. He was a devoted Husband, Father and Papa and was always up for anything. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and teaching them how to golf, or ride horses. One of his favorites things to do was sit on the back porch and enjoy the country view. Tom was a member of the Aurora Baptist Church for many years.
Tom is survived by his wife, Brenda Ann Cline, of Haslet, Texas, three children, David (Amber) Solomon and family Cason and Presley, Ryan Solomon, Breanna (Brad) Zaborowski and family Ty, Jai and Ella and; two stepchildren, Jason (Jenelle) Cline and family Jacey and Jaydn and Chris (Autumn) Cline and family Cash, Beau and Colt; brother, Randy (Janine) Solomon and Family Kevin, Nicholas, Mark Solomon and Maddie Goettsch.
