Sylvia Wandalene Wilbanks-Holt was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas on January 13, 1937. She went to be with our Lord on March 20, 2020 at the age of 83. Sylvia worked all her life. In her youth she worked on the family farm; where she picked cotton, milked cows, fed pigs and chickens. She worked for the Haggar clothing until she joined the carnival where she met J. W. Holt, Sr. and together they were married for 46 years. She also worked for the Bedford Police Department. Then as a mobile home cabinetmaker for over 30 years. Left there to work for HEB School District where she retired from after 17 years. Sylvia was a active member for 62 years at Mansfield Central Baptist Church in Mansfield, Texas.
She was the middle child of nine. Sylvia has joined her loving family husbands: J.W. Holt, Sr. and Lloyd Slawson, son, J.W. Holt, Jr., parents, Cloe and Lee Wilbanks, brothers, LC, John, Cecil Wilbanks., sisters, Mildred Buster and Helen Montgomery. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Kennedy of North Richland Hills, Texas, Norma WIlliams and Altha Saunders of Watauga, Texas, sister, Joyce Greenwood, brothers Jackie and Paul Wilbanks. Sylvia has seven grandchildren: Shawn, Dustin, Jonathan, LaToshia, Deidre, Curtis and Dylan. Twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
