Sharon Elizabeth Young, passed away at her home in Arlington after a long battle with Alzheimer's on February 25th, 2023. She was born on May 24th, 1941 to T.M. Pitts and Frances Grizzle. She was married to her husband, Jerry Young, for 63 years. She graduated from Poly High School in 1959.
Sharon was an Air Force wife and mother of two. She actively volunteered at many organizations and was proud of being a Mary Kay consultant. Sharon had many interests in craft hobbies, which ranged from cake decorating to flower arranging. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Arlington and she loved Jesus.
She is preceded in death by her parents, T.M. and Frances; and her sister, Darlene. She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry; her two daughters and four grandchildren.
A visitation for Sharon will be held March 2nd, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Colleyville, TX 76034. Her funeral will be held March 3rd, 2023 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church Arlington, 301 S. Center St. Arlington, TX 76010.
