COLLEYVILLE -- Retired Col. Roscoe Epperson of Colleyville passed away Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016. Celebration of life: Noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Interment: 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, salvationarmydfw.org; Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation, pkdcure.org; or Parkinson's Disease Foundation, pdf.org. Roscoe Epperson was born in Patrick County, Va., in 1930. Roscoe joined the Air Force in 1949. He served his country faithfully during the Vietnam War and the Korean War. He retired after 29 years of service and was highly decorated. Roscoe was a dedicated husband for 64 years, devoted father of two boys and loving grandfather to three. Roscoe was a member of the Colleyville Lions Club, DFW Order of Daedalians, Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association and the DFW Military Officers Association. Survivors: Wife, Marie Epperson; sons, Gary Epperson and his wife, Kathy, and Jeff Epperson and his wife, Laura; and grandchildren, Derek, Ryan and his wife, Lexi, and Taylor.
