He was born on January 5th, 1955 to Jay and Dola Bell. Ricky graduated from Richland High School and worked in the commercial construction industry proudly serving as an estimator and project manager for most of his years. Ricky was a devoted father and enjoyed time with family taking his kids fishing, going on ski trips, Guadalupe river trips, beach vacations, and coaching many of Jeffrey's youth baseball teams.
In 2007, Ricky met the love of his life, Melody. While Ricky might not have said the words I Love You daily, it showed in his actions and his sense of humor. He loved to tease and give everyone funny but loving nicknames. He was always the one to call and check in making sure we made it home safe so that he could sleep well at night. Ricky’s focus was always on others before himself. He loved his family deeply and his family was his greatest accomplishment in life.
Ricky was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish, golf, snow ski, and vacation to the Virgin Islands. By far his favorites were fishing and golf. Some of his best fishing memories come from many years of fishing with great friends in the “Fort Worth Hawg Hookers”. He also enjoyed fishing with Josh and Jeffrey on Lake Bridgeport, Palestine, and Cedar Creek (Just a few of the many they frequented) and teaching his grandson Cooper to fish on Lake Fork.
After moving to Hideaway in 2017 Ricky’s passion for golf came back to focus as his main hobby. In 2019 Ricky and Melody bought a house in Hideaway on the golf course so they could enjoy evenings watching the golfers and relaxing looking at the ponds. Ricky will ALWAYS be remembered as a loving husband, dad, Papa, and friend to all that knew and loved him.
Ricky is survived by Wife Melody Bell of Hideaway, TX; son Josh Snow and his children Layke Holmes, Layla Snow, and Jaxton Snow of Keller, TX; son Jeffrey Bell and wife Christen Bell, and their son Cooper Bell of Grapevine, TX.
