Mr. Raymond Kenneth Austin

He was born in Southlake, Texas on March 30, 1935 in a house behind the Whites Chapel Church.

On February 25, 1955 he married Helen Austin and was married until she passed away on May 22, 2008 (53 years).

Raymond was a home builder the first half of his life and then later became a farmer raising cattle and horses and cutting and baling hay.

He was one of the drag racing pioneers and never stopped loving hot rods. Early on he enjoyed deer hunting in Colorado, racing dirt bikes, and flying airplanes.

He is survived by 1 son Jody Austin and wife Susan and 1 daughter Janis Schroeder. He was a Grandaddy to 5 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Raymond will be held Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034. A funeral service will occur Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034. A graveside service will occur Monday, April 11, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.
