Mrs. Margaret Jean Marsh

Jean was born to Ella and Dewell E. Griffin on September 17, 1930, in Rosser, Texas, and was raised in Fort Worth. She married at the early age of 16 and was a devoted wife to her husband, Perry R. Marsh, to whom she was married for 67 years at the time he preceded her in death in 2014--her commitment to Perry enduring for almost 76 years. She and Perry moved to Hurst in 1959 and resided there until their deaths.

Perry and Jean were devoted Christians and members of First Baptist Church of Hurst. Jean was a loving wife, mother, Nana and friend to many. She as always happy and never complained, and consistently was wiling to help however she could to bring joy and comfort to others. She loved her family immensely and dedicated herself to providing a Christian example for her children and grandchildren.

Jean is survived by her son, Roger Marsh and wife Marsha of Pilot Point, TX; two daughters-Pat Sower of North Richland Hills, TX; and Sherry Phillips of Moore, OK; seven grandchildren-Stephanie Powers, Stephen Powers, Caleb Marsh, Cory Phillips, Kyle Phillips, Travis Marsh, and McKenzie Ledesma; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:00am at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home with a graveside to follow at 12:00pm.
