Laureen "Laurie" Nock passed away peacefully on November 4th, at her home in Grapevine, Texas, surrounded by her loving husband David, family and close friends. She will be remembered fondly for her deep love of her husband David, family, friends, home, and her pets. Laurie was born in Elma, Iowa to Luva Mae and Leroy Mohrfeld. She graduated from Crestwood High School in Cresco, Iowa. While involved in her studies she managed to excel in sports and was a pitcher for the high school softball team. Laurie graduated from Lothian Fashion Merchandising School In Minneapolis, Minnesota. During at which time, she also modeled.
Being forward thinking Laurie showed considerable interest to explore other challenges. She moved to Texas. Having an abundant and ambitious personality she secured a position with the “Nissan Corporation Corporate Headquarters in Las Colinas, Texas". It was an exciting and extraordinary job where she was able to build a lasting and industrious career as a Finance Manager for many years. She was very well respected, very loved, and held in high esteem for her knowledge and dedication by her team and co-workers.
Laurie leaves the world a better place as she was very involved in "Habitat for Humanity" building homes for the homeless. She volunteered at different religious organizations devoting her time and compassion for the communities.
VERY DEAR TO Laurie's Heart was her love and well-being of animals. She was a devoted animal lover rescuing, adopting and fostering dogs and cats.
She enjoyed riding horses and playing golf. Laurie was sport minded and she adored and loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings.
Laurie accomplished a lot in her short lifetime. She will be forever missed by her husband David, family, friends, neighbors and coworkers. She will be remembered for her loving heart, kindness. compassion, intelligence, laughter, smile and love of life.
Laurie is survived by her loving husband David Nock, sister LuRae Mohrfeld of Elma, Iowa, sister Linda Mohrfeld, Linda Barnes and their son, Joe Barnes of Las Vegas, Nevada, two aunts, one uncle, and numerous cousins. Laurie is preceded in death by her mother Luva Mae Mohrfeld and father Leroy Mohrfeld.
In lieu of flowers, Laurie would ask donations be made to the City of Fort Worth, Texas Animal Shelter for dog food, cat food, cat litter or to please foster or adopt an animal from this shelter to prevent euthanasia.
Laurie took our hearts with her when Our Lord took her home. God BLESS LAURIE for all ETERNITY.

Laurie will be laid to rest next to her parents in Elma, Iowa.
A celebration of her life will be held in Grapevine/Colleyville, Texas
