Kay was born July 16, 1921 to Joe and Ruby Koiner of Hutchison, Kansas. After graduating from high school she married Paul W. Robinson, her high school sweetheart in Dalhart, Texas on August 2, 1938.
She lived most of her life in Texas and was very happily married for 69 years. Kay worked at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio for 7 years as a supervisor in the supply division. She spent many years being a stay at home wife and mother to their daughter. When her husband was transferred to Washington DC in 1967 to complete his career with the FAA she enjoyed working at the Naval Air Command as an administrative assistant. They both retired and moved back to Hurst, Texas in 1973. They enjoyed living close to their family where she became an active member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church and their Sunday school class. She enjoyed community service in the Hurst Women's Club for 25 years, travelling all over the world, was an avid reader and excellent bridge player. She will be remembered for her smile, sense of humor, and being such a caring person. She was loved by many. She will be greatly missed.
After Paul's death in 2007 she made her home at Horizon Bay in North Richland Hals and for the last 6 years lived at Discovery Village at Watermere in Southlake. The family wishes to thank the staff at both places for their loving care and helping to make it such a wonderful place to live.
She was preceded to death by her husband Paul Robinson. She is survived by her beloved daughter Sharon and husband Bill Stevenson, grandchildren Amy Whitehurst and husband Stacy, Paul Stevenson and wife Shannon, and great grandchildren Sydney, Austin, Ashley and Kiera.
Due to COVID19 there will be a private graveside service for family at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Paul. Memorial contributions can be made to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
