Karen Kay Perry, 62, of Hurst, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 24th at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Grapevine.
She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving daughter, mother, and Gigi, and a kind friend and colleague to all that knew and loved her. Memorial service will be at 4:00 pm Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Living Word Lutheran Church in Grapevine, Texas.
Karen was born on November 11, 1960 in Houston, Texas to Willard Erich Fischer and Linda Lou (Booth) Fischer. She graduated from J.L. McCullough High School and went on to attend Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where she earned her Bachelor degree in Computer Science. Following college, Karen accepted a job in IT with Bell Helicopter Textron where she continued to work for 37 years, eventually meeting her husband Doug Perry. Karen and Doug were united in marriage on August 15, 2020 in Grapevine. Karen enjoyed traveling, reading, going on cruises, taking care of her family and spoiling her granddaughter. She was a lifelong Lutheran and a member of the Living Word Lutheran Church in Grapevine.
Preceding Karen in death was her Father, Willard Fischer.
Karen is survived by her Husband, Douglas Perry; Mother, Linda Fischer; Daughters, Cathleen Hamby and Husband, Christian, and Megan McArdle and Husband, Alex; Sister, Susan Burzynski and Husband, Alan; Granddaughter, Harper Hamby; Daughter, Katherine Perry and Son, Nicholas Perry.
