Jimmy was born to Paul Herchel Isbell and Joicie Elizabeth Ham, a dairy farmer and homemaker in Bisbee, AZ on June 12, 1939. As a toddler, his Family moved to Shallowater, TX where he milked cows every morning & evening. He attended Shallowater School & served in the US Navy February 1957 – June 1960.
Jimmy was blessed with a loving family. He married (Jan) Janyace Olivia Brown on June 30, 1961, sharing 58 years of marriage. Together, they raised 3 children where they have lived in Colleyville, TX for 48 yrs. Jimmy earned a living as a truck driver with over 40 years of service. He was employed by Merchants Fast Motor Lines and gained treasured friends who were still a big part of his life.
Jimmy loved the great-outdoors and some of his most treasured memories were going to Broken Bow, OK. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and took many road trips with his motorcycle friends & nephew.
His favorite season was Christmas as he loved family time and enjoyed watching his kids & grandkids open their gifts.
Jimmy will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandpa and friend to all that knew and loved him.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Jan; his daughters: Delayne Thomason & Husband Max; Deray Chatwell & husband Ron; and son Deglen Isbell. His grandchildren Rick Thomason, Richelle Garcia & husband Mario, Melissa Bolduc and husband Chris, Justin Chatwell and Shelby Isbell; his great-granddaughter, Abi Garcia; and his sister, Paula Middlebrook. He is proceeded in death by his sister, Martha Blackstock; and his parents.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 13th at First Colleyville Baptist Church (5300 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, TX 76034 with the service immediately following at 2:00 pm. The Reverend Dan Amerson will be officiating. Burial will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, TX 76034).
Pallbearers are: Max Thomason, Rick Thomason, Ron Chatwell, Justin Chatwell, Mario Garcia, Chris Bolduc and Randy Middlebrook. Honorary Pallbearers are: Billy Sellman, Larry Wright, Dan Lusky, Les Mannis, Wayne Cox, Bill Goken and Pat Fay.
