He will always be remembered as a loving husband, a proud father, a wonderful son, an awesome brother, a cool uncle, and a great friend to all that knew him.
He was born on March 2, 1977 in Norfolk, Virginia to Andy Avirett and Avon Burton.
Jason was a licensed plumber, and then a longtime employee of AT&T, before eventually
becoming a cofounder of Avirett Automotive. In his early years, Jason displayed a passion for and athleticism in sports, which really showed in any sport he played. He was very competitive, with losing never being an option. His love for sports turned to golf and disc golf later in life, which he enjoyed playing with family and friends.
Jason had a huge personality, and a sense of humor to match. If there wasn’t a prank to be
pulled, then you can bet he was hiding, ready to jump out and scare you. That sense of humor
was also matched by his love for helping others. Jason would lend a helping hand to anyone in
need, without question, and regardless of the task. He was someone you could count on.
Jason is survived by his wife, Amber Avirett; daughter Taylor Avirett; son and daughter in law
Tyler and Mawj Avirett; stepdaughter Kaylee Hartwell; stepson Collin Jones; father Andy Avirett and wife Kelley; mother Avon Burton; brother and sister in law Kevin and
Alexandria Avirett; nephew Christopher Avirett; niece Scarlett Avirett and his dog, Daisy.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Xander Judge Avirett.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on July 14, 2020 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home
Chapel in Colleyville, Texas.
