James Kenneth Mobley, 79 of Colleyville, Texas passed away on Monday, September 19th in his home with his son Kenny by his side. He was born in Collin County, Texas on July 2, 1943 to parents Kenneth Atwell Mobley and Constance Iowana Brown. He worked at General Mills for 30 years. After retirement he worked as a Financial Adviser for Allstate. Somewhere along the way, Jim took up woodworking, which was a true passion of his.
Jim is preceded in death by his wife Emalyn Hillary McKenzie, their son Jeffery Kyle Mobley, and his parents Kenneth Atwell Mobley and Constance Iowana Brown. He is survived by his son Kenneth James Mobley and wife Vicky, his grandson Conrad O’Neil Mobley and granddaughter McKenna Kaylynn Mobley along with other family members and friends.
Jim was the patriarch of his family in every way! He was always provided calm words of reason and an understanding ear. His personality and sense of humor were unmatched. He had an amazing passion for woodworking and very much enjoyed the camaraderie of working with family and friends in his shop. Jim was the person many went to for advice and to talk out a situation. His personality was huge and the space that he leaves behind is just as big. He will be missed for so much but, most of all, he will be missed for just being Jim!
Jim’s Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, October 21st at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, Texas.
