George Albert Guynes Jr.

George A. Guynes “Papa” was born on January 29, 1938 in Dallas, Texas and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He married the love of his life, Barbara A. Grun in 1959. They shared 60 wonderful years of marriage until her passing on November 27, 2019. They resided in Euless, Texas.

George is survived by his 3 children; Suzanne Guynes (Kwin) of Weatherford, TX, Denise Crockett (Scott) of Shady Shores, TX, and Todd Guynes (Maria) of Saginaw, TX, and 4 grandchildren. George passed away peacefully at the age of 86 surrounded by his family.

George attended University of Texas and St. Mary’s Law School passing his bar exam while having a wife, a child and another baby on the way. George was licensed Attorney in Texas and New Mexico residing in both states throughout the years.

One of George’s passions was traveling throughout Europe twice a year by car taking in the various cultures and cuisines each place had to offer. He also loved cruises through the Western and Eastern Mediterranean with an occasional Caribbean cruise now and then. Papa was always ready for the next adventure.

George enjoyed woodworking creating a grandfather clock, couches, plant stands, end tables, dining tables, mirrors, and even a pool table! He was also an avid runner and fitness buff.

George was preceded in death by his loving wife Barbara.
