Frances was born on Nov. 7, 1925, to Lee and Flora Dalton in Mineral Wells, Tx. She married Virgil “Jack” LaFerney June 1, 1946. Frances had so many talents throughout her life. She was a nurse, a court reporter, a secretary for Southwestern Bell Telephone, an active member and secretary for Beltline Rd. Church of Christ (26 years), HEB school employee, state staff of Texas PTA, state staff on TAPE, state staff on Texas School Volunteer program, a master florist as a member of the Texas Garden Club, in addition to owning her own craft business. Frances never met a stranger and left a lasting impression on the hearts of those she touched. She was a devoted wife of 64 years, mother and grandmother, and held a deep belief of her Christian faith. She enjoyed being around people and loved helping others. After retiring from Beltline, she and Jack enjoyed their love of traveling all over the country in their motor home. Shortly after Jack’s passing, she moved to Louisiana to live with her daughter, Cindy and her family. Frances will be missed deeply by all who were blessed have known and loved her...

Cindy LaFerney, daughter, of Prairieville, LA; son, Virgil LaFerney and wife, Linda, of Euless; grandchildren; Amanda Schorn and husband Micheal, of Ft Worth, Maggie and Mason LaFerney; Vickie Glorioso, who was loved like another daughter; three nephews; and other family members.
