Edna Faye James, 96, of North Richland Hills, passed away peacefully on October 17th, 2022. She was born to Edward and Lillie Killebrew on February 9th, 1926 in Caddo Oklahoma. She married Everett E. James on November 11th, 1945 and they spent over 50 wonderful years together. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, John T. White Community of Fort Worth, which she and Everett founded together.
Edna was a loving wife and mother, friends and family say they feel privileged to have had her in their lives as long as they did. She was a preacher’s wife, a Sunday school teacher, and an avid gardener. She loved her grandchildren, sewing, and pulling a good joke. She was also known for her excellent cooking. Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving because it was a time for family to be together.
She is survived by her son Carry Mark James of North Richland Hills, Tx. Carry has taken excellent care of Edna since 1995. She is also survived by her daughter Judy Earlane James Egner and fiancé Alfred Sheffield of Cleburne, Tx. Grandsons Steven Troutt and wife, Alicia of Keller, Tx; Anthony Troutt and wife, Joy of Indiana; Everett Wade James and wife, Chelle of Elkhart, Tx; and Dwayne James of Fort Worth, Tx. Her sister, Joyce Shaver of Kingsland,Tx ; and brother, Kenneth Killebrew of Denton, Tx. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Reverend Everett E. James and her son Emmett Dwaine James. Her parents Edward and Lillie Killebrew. Her grandson, Michael Paul James. As well as siblings William (Bill) Killebrew, Albert Killebrew, Raymond Killebrew, Elton Killebrew, Estelle Brooks, Dovie Elrod, and Ellen Killebrew.

Services will take place for Edna on October 28th, 2022 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. and will be followed with a funeral service at 12 p.m. The funeral will then be followed with burial, taking place at 1 p.m., in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
