A man of many gifts, he was proficient in playing the classic guitar, wood-working, and singing with a beautiful tenor voice. However his lasting international legacy, during a professional life of 60 years, consisted in making helicopters safer to fly, and he holds sixteen patents in helicopter avionics. He referred to them lovingly as his "toys."
Carl is survived by his wife, Anna, three sons: John (Mesa, AZ), Curtis (Denton), and Clark (Ft. Worth); four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, as well as three sisters, three brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews. He and his wife were married for sixty-three years, living in a constant Christian relationship with the Lord God.
Carl's memorial celebration will be held on Thursday, April 21, at White's Chapel UMC, 185 S. Whites Chapel, Southlake, TX, at 2:00 P.M. in the Grace Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Christian Relief Fund, 1501 SW 58th Avenue, Amarillo, TX 79110-3423.
