E. Bruce Atkinson, 76, of Bedford, TX passed away on April 19th, 2023. He was born in Vicksburg, MS on December 29th, 1946. Bruce graduated from Pine Tree High School in Longview, TX and attended the University of Texas at El Paso. He retired from American Airlines after 20 years of service. He was married 52 years to the love of his life, Suzy Atkinson.
Bruce had a passion for gardening and wildlife, and enjoyed taking care of his friends and family. He spent many hours with his best buddy, his granddaughter, Ruby Kate.
He is survived by his wife Suzy, and his kids Brian and Katie, Brooke and Justin, and his granddaughter, Ruby Kate. He is also survived by his sisters, Laura and Margene, and his brother Doug. He is preceded in death by his parents Gene and Marjorie Atkinson.
A graveside service will be held at Driver Cemetery, Teague, TX, on Thursday, April 27th, at 3:00 p.m.
