Passed away on Friday August 5th in Mansfield Texas
He will always be remembered as a loving Husband, Father, Pops and Friend.
He never met a stranger and could talk all day long!
He was born on August 18th, 1929, to Jesse and Alma McClure in a Boxcar on the Katy Golf Course in Denison Texas.
Bill graduated from Denison High School in 1948. After Graduation he joined the Navy and served 4 years on the USS Radford D-446 one of America’s most decorated destroyers where they went to Korea and Hawaii just to name a few. After leaving the Navy, Bill then got his apprenticeship with the Local 116 IBEW and became an Electrician, where he then worked for the next 41 years.
Bill and Jan enjoyed traveling in their RV with their Square-Dancing Club, Camping Squares. They also loved their Sunday School class at First Baptist Church of Keller.
Bill loved to play Golf, lunch with his high school friends, Lunch with Tin Can Sailor friends and traveling to be with his Radford friends. All kinds of games and dominos!
Bill loved his toothpicks! But above all he loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom he got the pleasure of meeting!
Bill is survived by his wife of 36 years Janice J McClure, Daughter Jane Hall and Husband Rick, Daughter Cherri Hughes and Husband Richard both of Mansfield Texas. Six wonderful Grandchildren, Jason and Julia Hall of Maypearl, Texas, Stephanie and Jason Park of Midlothian, Texas, Michelle and Brian Pelegrin of Colorado and Jason and Sarah Kelley of Alaska. Derick and Melissa Hughes, Daryl and Hailey Hughes both of Fort Worth. 17 Great Grandchildren + 1 on the way, 7 Great Great Grandchildren and 1 on the way.
Bill was preceded in death by his Parents, Jesse and Alma McClure, Brother J.L. McClure and Great Grandchildren Triston and Kurstyn Pelegrin, And Great Great Granddaughter Raylie Mae Dickerson.

A visitation for Billy will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at First Baptist Keller, 225 Keller Parkway, Keller, TX 76248. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 225 Keller Parkway, Keller, TX 76248. A committal service will occur Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.
In lieu of flowers please give to Wounded Warriors in Memory of Bill McClure or to your favorite charity.
North Texas Patriot Riders and Military Honor Guard will be present.
