Betty was born to Tony and Eva Russell. She was a dedicated and faithful servant to the Lord and her Church. Betty attended Panama High School in Oklahoma and she went to nursing school in Poteau, Oklahoma.
Some of Betty’s hobbies included cooking, and she took pride in being the best housekeeper in the world! She was considered a local award-winning cook. Betty was a successful business owner and operator. She was always a great people pleaser to everyone around her, whether lifelong friend or acquaintance.
She is preceded in her passing by her parents Tony and Eva, her husband, Kenneth, her brother, Sonny, her sister, Allie Rose, son, Jimmy, and granddaughter, Christi.
Betty is survived by, her sisters; Shirley Benge of Oklahoma, Carroll Howen of Florida, her son; Tony Prater (Paula), her daughter; Connie Jaynes (Rick) of Decatur, Texas, grandchildren; Sarah Klein, Julie Taylor, and Tiffany Dean, and numerous great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park at 5725 Colleyville Blvd Colleyville, Texas 76034. The service will be officiated by Brother John Redfern of Tyler, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
