I remember Aunt Betty from the earliest times of my life. Her spirit and smile were a constant then as they have been throughout her life. 

I have always identified a “certain spark”  in the Martin family. It is identified in so many of her siblings and continues on in my cousins. People who reached to make a difference and experts at getting things done. Aunt Betty represents the zenith of that spirit. I have always marveled how in her view nothing was impossible. From beautiful landscape to beautiful angels she set her sights and working with Uncle  Bill the true love and joy in her life the difficult became a beautiful reality. I have always thought their match was preordained as they are soul mates 

We will miss her indelible spirit and love of life framed by her smile. 

What a wonderful example my Aunt Betty was of a life well lived.  Never did I see her, no matter the circumstances, that she did not have that beautiful smile set off by her red hair to brighten everyone's spirit. I can remember her work on the Christmas tree at our grandparents and how wonderous it looked, and how she shared her crafts with our family.
The fond memories of the love and caring she and Uncle Bill shared will last for my lifetime, and is an inspiration in my life.  Although we never lived close, Aunt Betty and Uncle Bill are in my thoughts often.
A life well-lived and a marriage of devotion. Our love and condolences to you Uncle Bill.

We were so blessed to know Betts, and we hope to keep her in our hearts always.  She showed us kindness and warmth each Christmas, and she shared with us her sense of humor and grace.  Her twinkle in her eye, and generous heart, will be dearly missed.

	Betts was the most talented crafter, gardener, jewelry maker, seamstress, antique buyer, cookie baker and appetizer maker we have ever known.  She was generous, funny and a relentless perfectionist.  She was the most gracious hostess and the epitome of a Southern Lady.  Betts didn’t let her challenges with mobility keep her from being the best at everything she had an interest in.  
	Betts, we had 56 years of fun and loving friendship with you.  You lived your life with such Grace.  You will be so very missed.  Now you can teach the Angels how to make Angels.


Many Happy Memories of NY Airline friends!! Oh what a marvelous Betts George was!!!! Such wonderful memories of her outstanding Holiday decorations and the many artistic things she did!!! Now the Angels and God can enjoy her and let her look down on us from Heaven ..

What can I say about my cherished friend Betts that people who knew her already know. She exuded light. She was smart, witty, brave and strong. Above all she was kind. She accepted people and invited them into her life and home with a genuine smile and her southern charm. Thank goodness she could also be mischievous too! We had some Lucy and Ethel moments together that made us laugh at ourselves. One time on the George's boat, the BB Beauregard, she thought we should feed some seagulls, so that we could see them up close. It didn't dawn on either of us that they would return to thank us.
I will always cherish the hours we spent touring Long Island, in your big blue Chrysler Imperial, chatting, laughing and sharing confidences, as we traveled from mall to mall shopping and antiquing.
Betts loved angels. So dear friend, it brings me comfort to think that you have joined a band of good angels, in a peaceful garden filled with flowers.

We will truly miss our  lovely friend Betts.  Such a funny, upbeat lady , who faced many medical challenges with such grace and humor.
She was   both a gracious hostess and guest who always sent written thank you cards and photos of our get togethers.  The personification of southern charm. You will be in our memory forever.
