Melvin Rose

Melvin began his education at Harper Elementary School where he learned the simplest of life's lessons. He completed his educational journey at Walter F. George and Therrell High School.

After graduating from high school, in 1978, he joined the United States Army where he served honorably for 6 years before returning to civilian life.

On April 27, 1988 Melvin married his loving wife Shirley. Over the next 33 years the two would travel the world creating many adventures and memories along the way.

Melvin was called home on May 22, 2021. He was preceded into eternity by his parents James and Daisy Rose, his sister Alisha McKeever, and his brother-in-law Mr. Floyd Willis.

His love and memory shall cling to the hearts of all those who love him, his loving wife, Shirley J. Rose; 3 brothers Chris Cook (Crystal), Alvin Rose (Fonda), and Stacey Rose; 2 sisters Patricia Willis (Floyd), and Regina Johnson (William); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
