Malcolm Stephenson was born on March 27, 1931 to the late Lillian and Martin Stephenson in Spring Hope, North Carolina. He was the eldest of six children. He peacefully made his transition to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 23, 2020. Early in his life, Malcolm’s family relocated to Harlem, New York, where he attended elementary and junior high school. He went on to attend Automotive High School, where he received a certificate in Mechanics. He had an affinity (love) for cars. In September 1963, he became employed by Mabstoa Manhattan and Bronx Surface Operating Authority in New York City as a bus driver from which he retired after 29 years of service.
Malcolm met the love of his life, Dorothy (Dotsy), in Trinidad and they were united in Holy Matrimony on February 24, 1971. Malcolm and Dotsy were loving parents to six (6) children. He was preceded in death by his youngest, Tanya, whom he loved dearly. He was also preceded in death by his three (3) brothers: Nathaniel, Charles, and Morris. Malcolm was a humble man who loved his family and made sure they were well cared for. Using his personal experiences, he raised his children with good moral values and principles.
Malcolm leaves his legacy of love to his Devoted Wife, Dotsy; Children: Malcolm Jr., Vanessa, Brian, Willis, Warren; Nine (9) Grandchildren: Kate, Bianca, Amelia, Sharazade, Joshua, Tatyanah, Czarrea, Major, Alana; Three (3) Great-grandchildren: Albert (AJ), Ameiah and Alani; One (1) Brother, Arthur; One (1) Sister, Marion; and a host of family and friends.
