Joe was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 19, 1954, to George Michael, Sr. and Winifred Louise Douglas Neisch. He grew up in Lavonia, Michigan and was raised in the Catholic Church. Joe enlisted in the U.S. Army and completed basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He attained the rank of Private First Class while working as a military truck driver. Joe moved to the local area in 1990 to work as the telemarketing service manager at Midwest Publishing in Oxford, Ohio. Joe was a good marksman and enjoyed trapping. In his leisure time, he collected baseball cards and liked to watch Western movies.
Joe is survived by his wife, Virginia “Ginger” Neisch, whom he married October 7, 1989; his children: Katherine Fay Neisch and Joseph M. Neisch II, all of College Corner; his stepdaughter: Christine Kangas of Wooster, Ohio, his brother: Ken Neisch of College Corner, Ohio; two grandchildren and a nephew. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by three brothers, John Neisch, George Neisch and Ben Dacy.
