Thelma Anne Petrick

Thelma Anne Petrick Passed away at her home in Titusville, Florida on August 16, 2021 at the age of 97. Thelma was the daughter of Albert S. Fellows and Grace E. Fellows born November 18, 1923. Thelma is survived by her daughters: Susan (Tony) Whitney and Becky (Bill) Neumann; brother: Ralph (Ruth) Fellows; sister: Agnes Struble, sister-in-law: Dorothy Fellows; 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyril J. (Ki) Petrick, her parents, her brother: Albert (Tim) Fellows, sister: Mary Ann Depoy, sister: Florence Parsons, brother - Edward George (Ted) Fellows.

Thelma was born in Youngstown, Ohio. She was a majorette in her High School Band, worked in an eye glass fitting company after high school, married her husband Cyril (Ki) Petrick in February 1944. They lived in different areas in Ohio until 1963 when they moved to Titusville. She was a home maker, VP of Tempo Tones Organ Club, belonged to A.O.A.I. Titusville Chapter, worked as a volunteer for the Blood Bank and Pink Lady at Jess Parrish Hospital for many years. Thelma was one of a kind, known around the neighborhood as “Florence Nightingale” … everyone knew where to go if they were hurt or sick! She will be greatly missed.

As one of the original residents left in her subdivision, Thelma developed close, wonderful, personal relationships with many. Some of those have become extended family.

She watched over them all and was loved by all!

Her daughters want to give a special thank you to Thelma’s caregivers (Karen McFarlin, Brenda Garrett and Carol Douget) for their friendship, kindness, love and care over this past year and a half. They also want to thank the staff at St. Francis Reflections Hospice for their excellent care and compassion.

Any memories that you’d like to share can be placed in the Memory Box on the table. Her family would love to read and reminisce and send their thanks to everyone for their calls and friendship.

Graveside service will be on Saturday August, 28, 2021 at 11:00 at Brevard Memorial Park, Cocoa. Celebration of life to follow at Park Avenue Baptist Church 24600 S. Park Avenue, Titusville, FL 32780.
