Mary Elizabeth King

Mary Elizabeth King, age 79, peacefully entered the gates of Heaven on January 17, 2021. She was born on December 28, 1941 in Moscow, PA to Clarence and Freema Havenstrite. She married Edward King on March 30,1960, who preceded her in death on June 1, 1980.

Mary is survived by her brother Glenn Havenstrite and wife Diane, sister-in-law Janet Havenstrite and Diane King, son Edward King and wife Darlene, son Michael King, son Stanley King and wife Dana, and daughter Tammy Swetmon and husband Michael, along with six grandkids and nine great grandkids.

Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her life was a shining example of 1 Corinthians 16:14; Let all that you do be done in love. Mary exemplified unconditional love and devotion to her family.

For most of her adult life, Mary worked as a waitress for Denny’s. Mary had so much love and generosity in her heart and it was felt by everyone she knew or came in contact with.

Mary loved spending time with her family and friends. Her children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. The legacy of her strength, love of family, and passion for helping others will live through them.

We miss you Mom and we know one day we will see you, Dad, and Jesus in heaven with our heavenly father.
