Martha Elizabeth Green

Born 11 May 1931, in Freeman, West Virginia to John Reed Thomas and Leola Gladys Compton, she was raised in Bramwell, West Virginia where she attended Bramwell Methodist Church and graduated from Bramwell High School in 1949. Martha received an Associate of Arts degree in 1977 from Brevard Community College.

She married Wilbert Lee Green November 23, 1950, and was employed by the Bluefield Hardware from 1950-1956 until she and Wilbert moved to Cocoa to work at Cape Canaveral where she worked until her retirement in 1996. After retiring she worked for several years at the Strawberry Patch in Cocoa Village. She was a member of the Cocoa Presbyterian Church.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, John L. Thomas and two sisters, Nona T. Nassif and Shirley A. Epperson.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Barbara Epperson and husband Buddy, of Senecaville, Ohio, brother-in-law, William Epperson of Newark, Ohio, seven nephews and nieces as well as great and great-great nephews and nieces.
