Henry is a member of the pioneering Parrish family who have been in Florida for 192 years. He served in the United States Army during the Pacific Theater campaign in WWII and was given the opportunity to go to Washington DC as part of the Honor Flight earlier this year.
After his time in the Army, Henry was one of the pioneer citrus growers. He also spent time working in real estate. He has been part of the Kiwanis Club for over 50 years, former president of the Space Coast Pops, and member of the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and boating. Henry is a lifetime member of Rockledge Presbyterian Church.
Henry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ada. He is survived by three daughters and one son: Sarah A. Brunning (Richard), Grace L. Leppek (James), Susan P. Mionske (Dean), and Mayor Henry U. Parrish III; and 6 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, december 30, 2015 at 11AM at Rockledge Presbyterian Church. Interment with military honors will be held at Brevard Memorial Park following services.
