Rebecca ‘Becki’ Lacey, age 69, of Lake Jackson, TX, born on September 17, 1955 to Andrew and Rose Anne Lacey, went to be with our heavenly father surrounded by her family on October 6, 2024. She is survived by her son, Graham and wife Lauren, and two grandchildren, Scotlyn Rose and Tommy; her husband David Johnson; stepsons, David and Patrick Johnson; sister Charlene Neils and husband Ken, niece Ashley Neils, nephew Andrew Neils; sister Laraine Goessler and husband Mark, nephews, Andrew and Alexander and niece Maggie; brother Andrew and wife Kim, nieces Lexi and Laine; brother Tommy and wife Barb, nephew Garrett King and niece Jordan King; and many great nephews and great nieces.
Becki loved holidays and decorating her house with wonderful magical displays for her family. No matter the holiday, Becki had a tree or two decorated. Christmas was Becki’s specialty. Becki made Christmas joyful, magical and enchanting for her family and anyone who saw her house from the street or who walked into her house. Her motto was ‘Believe’ and she loved the color purple. You name it, if it was purple she wore it or had it in her house. Her siblings lived in other states and whenever they saw a purple car near their house they would text her and say “Becki, was that you I just saw in my neighborhood?”
Becki worked as an electrical engineer with various companies with South Texas Project being her last stop for 25 years and finally retiring in 2022. She was very successful, loved her job and made life-long lasting friendships. She loved her career but loved her family more.
Her most endearing quality was making everyone feel so very special. She was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, step-mother, sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Her family absolutely adored her and she made everyone feel special all the time. She was always close to her family and her pride and joy were her babies, her son Graham, and her grandchildren, Scotlyn Rose and Tommy. Outside of her babies, her husband David Johnson, was the love of her life that brought her consistent love and happiness.
A celebration of her life will held on Saturday, October 12, at 1pm at Restwood Funeral Home, 1038 W. Plantation Dr., Clute TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the American Cancer Society, in her honor.
