Lewis Allan Shadoff, 79, of Lake Jackson, TX, passed away on January 21, 2018. Lew was born to Kirt and Martha (Rosenfeld) Shadoff on May 4, 1938 in The Bronx, NY. Lew married Jaquith in Midland, MI on May 5, 1984.
Lew worked for 28 years as an Analytical Chemist for the Dow Chemical Company. Lew was an accomplished scientist and one of the world’s leaders in dioxin research, working with several foreign countries during his career. He enjoyed music, and played classical guitar and percussion, both at home and with community bands in Michigan and Texas. He raised horses in Michigan and was an active volunteer for the Handicapped Riders organization. And all who knew him knew of his love for everything automotive.
Lew is preceded in death by both parents; sister Eileen; previous spouse Judith and numerous aunts and uncles.
Lew is survived by his wife, Jaquith; mother-in-law Shirley Branch; brothers Sander “Buddy” (Elaine) Shadoff and James Shadoff; sisters-in-law Jill (George) Emmert, Kristi (Jim) Moore, Gretchen (Mario) Romano, Andrea (David Elliman) Branch and Timotha (Jon) Trigg; children Darian (Deanna) Wright, Nicholas (Angel) Shadoff, Whitney (Junior) Scott and Dylan (Lisa) Wright; grandchildren Aleshia Snyder, Danielle Bullock; Gable, Evelyn, Elouise and Allison Shadoff, Massimo Wright and numerous nieces and nephews.
The visitation service will be held at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, TX on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, TX on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 1 p.m. The graveside service will be at Restwood Memorial Park immediately following the funeral service.
